Watch em close

Hello folks so much going on I have been away way to long from writing. My way of venting and of sharing so many little profound truths that we see everyday. Like the one I remember years ago twenty seven years ago I believe. I was talking to my wife and my children were in the room too well my son was just learning to crawl was sitting in the door way. I had at the time just came home from the store and brought some cookies home so I held open the box and my oldest daughter took one and turned and ran out the door jumping over her little brother. Now my second daughter looked up at me then down at the box of cookies so many different kinds she reached in and grabbed a hand full. Then she turned and ran out the door too but before she passed her baby brother a little hand so fast if I blinked I would of missed it this little angel flipped a cookie into his little hand as she ran around him not over. Nice catch I remembered thinking I turned to my wife and said see that? She said see what? So I explained to her what just happened and I added when they grow older the oldest will go on about her life not sharing much about it but the second daughter will be close and always helping her little brother now years later this all came true. She talks to him every day and the oldest it has been years since we have seen her sad but true. This is one of many things I remember from watching my children back then so many simple lessons given. Funny how they repeat themselves years later. I wondered how my parents and grandparents knew more about me than I did myself at times this I believe was the secret. So with that in mind.
